Edward Gift, CPA, CGMA
Principal Partner
Edward Gift is a senior finance, taxation and business executive whose career spans approximately three decades of public-sector service, institutional leadership and professional advisory experience.
For approximately 16 years, he served as Comptroller of Inland Revenue for St. Kitts and Nevis, providing leadership during a period of significant modernization and transformation within the Federation’s tax administration.
His influence has extended beyond St. Kitts and Nevis. Edward served as President and Executive Council Member of the Caribbean Organisation of Tax Administrators (COTA) and as Director of the Caribbean Revenue Enhancement Project. In 2026, COTA recognized his contribution to the modernization of tax administration and his service to St. Kitts and Nevis and the wider CARICOM region with a COTA Appreciation Award.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to initiatives aimed at strengthening tax administration, modernizing revenue systems and improving institutional effectiveness. His leadership included the modernization and digitalization of tax administration in St. Kitts and Nevis, including the development and implementation of the Smart Modernised Administration for Revenue and Taxation System (SMARTS).
His experience extends beyond taxation into financial services, governance, organizational leadership and business management. He has served as President of the St. Kitts Nevis Co-operative Credit Union and currently serves as the Chairman of the University of the West Indies Finance Committee and is also a member of the Risk and Compliance Committee.
Over the course of his career, Edward has worked with and advised organizations across a wide range of industries, giving him a distinctive understanding of the financial, regulatory and commercial challenges facing businesses and institutions.
Today, he brings that breadth of experience to Gifts & Associates, combining technical knowledge, regulatory insight, executive judgment and commercial perspective to help clients navigate complex matters and make confident decisions.
